11/28/2017 0 Comments November Photo of the MonthAn eight-year-old female was referred for recent onset of reduced vision in the right eye. Note the mild optic nerve edema but also the macular star on the left of the image.
Diagnosis: Neuroretinitis. The lab studies showed elevated IgG for Bartonella henselae. She responded to antibiotic therapy and vision returned to normal.
